It’s very hard to trust God’s plan for our lives since we don’t know what that plan is or how he’s using the events in our lives to fulfill that plan. Nevertheless, God will never give us more than we can handle…with His help. Our strength lies in Him alone.

I guess we all need to be reminded from time to time that God is there for us. When we are in the midst of difficult things, it sometimes seems that this is hard to remember since we often think that we are the ones in control.

My cousin, Donna Marie Spencer sent to me the address of your blog and I thank you so much for your observations.

I love when you quote Samuel about the Lord looking at the heart, because, much like you, as you describe yourself, I also tend to concentrate on my failures and my flaws–which are myriad.

Donna and I have been frequently in touch lately as with my husband, Arthur, we have just spent close to six months going through an intensive time of heatlh care and rather serious health problems for my husband.

We live in South America, but due to health problems, have spent close to the last six months here in Baltimore.

I have spent some time wondering about whether the Lord was punishing me for my sins–and causing me to change course.

Changing course is possibly not relevant to all that has–is–happening and I have come to believe that as we have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of the Lord, perhaps worrying about ones shortcomings is not quite to the point.

Maybe we just need to accept ourselves for who we are, trust in the Lord’s love and mercy and move ahead in the sure knowledge that, as He created us from the very beginning in our mothers’ wombs to be who He would have us to be–that very special work that only each one of us can accomplish here in this dimension–maybe we just need to let go of all of our worry and doubts and –yes–pride.

For perhaps all of our anxiousness is really, when all is said and done, a form of pride. That pride which keeps us from truly trusting in His mercy and grace and forgiveness.,

I stumbled across one of my own quotes while looking at your page. It’s always fun when that happens! For years I felt as if the only way I could sell a copy of my book to anyone was to hand it to them personally. Now the books have a life of their own, and it’s amazing.

You mentioned Debbie McComber’s books which are so cute. I am wondering if you have read any of mine. I have a new one titled Moms Go Where Angels Fear to Tread, (Guideposts) which is not true stories of angels and miracles, as the series is, but written for moms who need to laugh more and dust less. (I used to do humor B. A., Before Angels.)

Would you ever consider doing a review for me, or a comment? Everything helps in our quest to get wholesome work Out There.
